Stanford Wrestling Coachship Honors Attorney Patricia Miranda

Stanford’s wrestling program, which was planned to be discontinued, is now receiving ample support from three coaching endowments, one which honors Patricia Miranda of Miranda, Magden & Miranda. Ms. Miranda, who was the first woman from the United States to win an Olympic medal in wrestling, has been recognized through an alumni-founded coachship to promote wrestling at Stanford and ensure the sport thrives for years to come. The coachship was formed by multiple donors who wish to assist the wrestling program’s financial needs. As co-chair of the Keep Stanford Wrestling group, Ms. Miranda is pleased to hear that these monetary gifts are for a coaching position, as she believes a coach teaches integral lessons as the athlete’s mentor.
